City of Coolidge requires permits for the following:
Development Services Permits
- Accessory Buildings – storage sheds over 200sf and Arizona Rooms
- Additions/remodels/tenant improvements to homes and businesses
- Carports, Garages
- Commercial Landscape Electrical/Plumbing
- Concrete sidewalks, ramps, slabs etc., over 30” or more above grade
- Demolitions of any structure
- Fences and walls - new and replacements, masonry walls, wood fences, chain link
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Mechanical
- Porches, cover patios
- Roof – when replacing any wood/OSB
- New Home/Manufactured Homes or replacements
- New Commercial Businesses or existing structures being retrofitted
- Signs – Building mounted and free standing
- Solar Energy Systems
- Swimming Pools
Public Works
- Engineering Permits – Pave/Grade/Trenching/Utilities
- Work in the Right of Way
Prior to undertaking any of the above, we recommend that you contact the City’s Development Services staff for instructions regarding property line setbacks and construction standards.
Double fees will be issued for any work done without permits.

Inspection Request Form
Inspections take place the next business day if the Inspection Form is received by 3:30pm the previous business day. No inspections are scheduled on holidays or weekends. If you have further questions, please contact Development Services at 520-723-6075 or email inspection@coolidgeaz.com

Arizona Water Company Water Service Information Request - First review up to approval for construction to commence can take up to a minimum of 6 months
All new developments will need to submit a Water Service Information Request either in person at their local office or online at https://www.azwater.com/development/request-service/commercial/
Development Services will review your request once submitted online, and will assign to a Development Coordinator. The assigned Development Coordinator will contact you to request any required documents and schedule an introductory meeting to discuss the method of service and next steps of the project.
Upon receipt of all required submittal documents, and required initial deposit the Company, the Company will commence its review of the project. Please allow up to 45 business days to complete first review of your request prior to contacting the Company.

To prepare your water report, please follow the water report checklist Design Standards - Arizona Water Company (azwater.com)
For any required hydrant testing, please coordinate with your 3rd party and our local office, Community Locator Map - Arizona Water Company (azwater.com)
